Modules

First we'll download the modules for images:

  • ImageCache - This module will allow resizing, watermarking, rotating, bordering of images and much more
  • Transliteration - For cleaning up URLs
  • ImageAPI - Performs the actual manipulation of the image
  • ImageCache Profiles - Allows you to manipulate profile images as they are uploaded
  • iTweak Upload - Adds cool icons to your files and some other bits
  • Taxonomy Image - Allows you to add images to your taxonomy terms
  • ImageCache Actions - Adds lots of extra functionality to ImageCache
  • Lightbox2 - When clicked on an imaged should get bigger, this is a cool way to do that
  • CCK (Content construction kit - If you've been following you will have this) - Allows the creation of extra functionality to content
  • FileField - Add files to content
  • ImageField - Add images to the file of an image
  • Image Crop - Allows cropping of images
  • JqueryUI - Needed for some java script bits like the Image crop

For instructions on how to install the modules click here

When you enable your modules enable at example.com/admin/build/modules make sure you enable these:

  • Upload
  • All under the heading 'ImageCache'
  • Lightbox2
  • Transliteration
  • iTweak Upload
  • FileField
  • ImageField

Don't bother with 'Taxonomy Image Attach', we wont need that
