Elevator Studios

The Elevator Studios website was created by the Smiling Wolf team. I was the Web Developer at Smiling Wolf and built the site. The design and idea was created by various members of the Smiling Wolf team.

The site was built with the Smiling Wolf CMS which is a heavily configured MVC framework called CodeIgniter and the CMS sitting on top. This means the client can change parts of the text and upload files via an admin section. The site also uses heavily configured jQuery plugins and jQuery written by myself (David Slack) to make the site:

  1. Work like a lift when the buttons are pressed
  2. Alow users to share pages by knowing which "floor" the site is on
  3. Have full screen images on each floor
  4. Hide and show the panels of text so the user can see more of the imigery
  5. Slide thrught the slides on the Space floor
  6. Show images larger in a colourBox on the studio floor
  7. Show Facebook, Twitter and Vimeo feeds on the Activity page
  8. Show maps on the contact floor
The Elevator Studios site won a "Best Use of Visual Design" 2012 BigChip award
