This website was designed by Ben Bradley and was created by myself. It was started in the usual way with a Drupal CMS but with the site having eCommerce I had to decide which eCommerce system to use.
My first desision was do I use an external shop or an internal Drupal module? The answer (as usual) was an internal module as it can be fully integrated into Drupal and it is much easier for a client to only have to remember 1 url and 1 username and password and 1 admin system and apposed to 2 of everything.
My next decision on eCommerce was which module to use? My usual eCommerce module is Ubercart because it is established and ticks most of the boxes, it still seems to have problems with multi currency so if you need more than one currency on you website steer clear of Ubercart.
The other things of note are the jQuery module called Rotor which will plug into the views module and allow you to view content as a jQuery slideshow and the Newsletter signup using the Simplenews module
