Installing Windows 7

Programmes to install

Time to install all the programmes needed, here is a list of mine

  1. Google Chrome
  2. Microsoft Security Essentials (Virus checker, Email Checker, etc)
  3. Opera
  4. Safari (with Quicktime)
  5. Firefox
  6. IETester
  7. ObjectDock
  8. MS office (2007)
  9. ImagResizer 2.1 x64
  10. CS4
  11. 7-Zip
  12. iTunes
  13. SSH Secure Shell Client
  14. PCMark and 3DMark (On DVD)
  15. eMule
  16. Steam
  17. Impulse
  18. Virtual Clone Drive 5440
  19. Spotify
  20. Do windows update!

Creating Users

So windows is installed and programmes are in place its time to add any other users that may use the PC.

  1. Click on the Start Menu and click the image for you at the top - the image that breaks out of the top of the Start Menu.
  2. At the top click 'User Accounts and Family Safety'
  3. Under 'User Accounts' hit 'Add or remove user accounts'
  4. Under the accounts box hit 'Create a new account'
  5. Fill in the form and hit the [Create Account] button
  6. Click the new account image and format the account the way it should be
  7. Close all the windows to get back to the descktop
